A) From the North, Northwest & O'Hare Airport via the Kennedy & Edens Expressways:
1. I-90/94 (Kennedy/Edens Expys) or I-190 (O'Hare Extension) southbound, 
2. exit at Irving Park (4000 N), 
3. proceed eastbound on Irving Park to Hamlin (3800W),
4. proceed northbound on Hamlin to Elston (NW Diagonal) and look for parking on Hamlin or Elston


B) From the North via Lake Shore Drive:

1. US-41 (Lake Shore Drive) southbound, 
2. exit at Irving Park (4000 N), 
3. proceed westbound on Irving Park to Hamlin (3800W), 
4. proceed as in A-4 above


C) From the South via the Dan Ryan & Kennedy Expressways & the Chicago Skyway:

1. I-90/94 (Dan Ryan Expy) northbound, 
2. exit at Pulaski Rd (4000 W)
3. proceed northbound on Pulaski to Irving Park (4000 N), 
4. proceed as in A-3 above


D) From the South via Lake Shore Drive:

1. US-41 (Lake Shore Drive) northbound, 
2. exit at Irving Park (4000 N), 
3. proceed as in B-3 above


E) From the South via I-57 or the Southwest via the Stevenson Expressway (I-55):

1. I-57 or I-55 to I-94 (Dan Ryan Expy),
2. continue through downtown on I-90/94 (Kennedy Expy) northbound, 
3. proceed as in C-1 above


F) From the West via the Eisenhower Expressway (I-290) and I-88 :

1. I-88 eastbound to I-290,
2. I-290 eastbound to I-90/94 (Kennedy/Dan Ryan Expy) in downtown Chicago,
3. continue through downtown on I-90/94 (Kennedy Expy) northbound, 
4. proceed as in C-1 above 


G) Alternate route from the West via the Eisenhower Expressway (I-290) and I-88:

1. I-88 eastbound to I-290
2. I-290 eastbound,
3. exit at Pulaski Rd (4000 W), 
4. proceed northbound on Pulaski to Irving Park (4000 N),
5. proceed as in A-3 above


H) From Midway Airport:

1. Cicero Ave (Illinois 50) to junction with I-55 (Stevenson Expy),
2. I-55 northbound toward Chicago to junction with I-90/94 (Dan Ryan Expy),
3. Proceed as in E-1 above
 

Street parking on Elston and on Hamlin (one way northbound).

NOTE: Check all parking signs and meters before leaving your car!  Some parking meters in the area operate 24x7 and some residential streets require zoned parking permits for non-residents.

Public Transit to the Latvian Community Center (top directions)

The Irving Park Elevated Station for the CTA Brown Line (Ravenswood) is between Ashland (1600 W) and Damen (2000 W). From this station, transfer to the westbound Irving Park Bus (#80) to Hamlin (3800W), then proceed as A-3 below.

The Irving Park Elevated Station for the CTA Blue Line (O'Hare-Garfield-Douglas) is at Pulaski Rd (4000 W). From this station, transfer to the eastbound Irving Park Bus (#80) to Hamlin Avenue (3800W), or walk the 2 blocks east in Irving Park to Hamlin from Pulaski, then proceed as A-3 below.

The Sheridan Rd Elevated Station for the CTA Red Line (Dan Ryan-Howard) is at Irving Park & Sheridan. From this station, transfer to the westbound Irving Park Bus (#80) to Hamlin (3800W), then proceed as A-3 below.

The Irving Park Rd Metra Station for the Union Pacific Northwest Line (Harvard) is at Irving Park & Keeler. From this station, take the westbound Irving Park Bus (#80) to Hamlin Avenue (3800W). 

The Ravenswood Metra Station for the Union Pacific North Line (Kenosha) is at Lawrence & Ravenswood. From this station, take the westbound Lawrence Bus (#81) to Pulaski (4000W), then southbound Pulaski Bus (#53) to Irving Park (4000N), then westbound Irving Park Bus (#80) to Hamlin Avenue (3800W). 

The Latvian Community Center is a 2-block walk north on Hamlin from the Irving Park and Hamlin Bus Stop.

A) From the North Side or Evanston:

1. CTA Red Line (Howard/Dan Ryan) or Purple Line (Evanston Express) southbound to the Sheridan Rd Station,
2. Irving Park Bus (#80) westbound to Hamlin (3800W),
3. 3. walk north 2 blocks north on Hamlin to Elston (NW Diagonal)

B) From the Northwest Side:

1. CTA Brown Line (Ravenswood) southbound to the Irving Park Station,
2. Proceed as A-2 above

C) From the South Side or Downtown (Red Line):

1. CTA Red Line (Howard/Dan Ryan) northbound to the Sheridan Rd Station,
2. Proceed as A-2 above

D) From the West Side or Downtown (Blue Line):

1. CTA Blue Line (Congress/Douglas/O'Hare) towards O'Hare to the Irving Park Station (at Pulaski),
2. Walk 2 blocks east on Irving Park to Hamlin (3800W) or take Irving Park Bus (#80) east to Hamlin (3800W),
3. Proceed as A-3 above

E) From O'Hare Airport or the Northwest Side:

1. CTA Blue Line (Congress/Douglas/O'Hare) southbound to the Irving Park Station (at Pulaski),
2. Walk 2 blocks east on Irving Park to Hamlin (3800W) or take Irving Park Bus (#80) east to Hamlin (3800W),
3. Proceed as A-3 above

F) From Midway Airport or the Southwest or the South Side (Green Line):

1. CTA Orange Line (Midway) or Green Line (Jackson Park/Englewood/Lake) northbound to the Clark & Lake (Elevated) Station Downtown,
2. Transfer to the (Elevated) Brown Line (Ravenswood),
3. Proceed as B-1 above

G) From Downtown or Northwest Suburbs via Metra Union Pacific Northwest Line (Harvard):

1. Metra Union Pacific Northwest Line northbound to the Irving Park Rd Station (4000N),
2. Proceed as A-2 above

H) From Downtown or North Suburbs via Metra Union Pacific North Line (Kenosha):

1. Metra Union Pacific North Line northbound to the Ravenswood (Lawrence Ave, 4800N) Station,
2. Lawrence Ave Bus (#81) westbound to Pulaski Rd (4000W),
3. Pulaski Bus (#53) southbound to Irving Park (4000N),
4. Proceed as A-2 above
