John Rich discovered ethnic dancing in 1967 in Pittsburgh, Pa. At that time a lot of the greats held workshops near the Pittsburgh area and Dick Crum was a regular instructor with the Pittsburgh folk dance group. After coming to Chicago he danced with Nancy Yamakowa for a couple of years. So although it may not look like it now, he has been taught good styling and a lot of dances. Then life, kids, and work intervened for about 30 years.
John started dancing again with Ethnic Dance Chicago on Friday nights in 2016. |
